WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
What exactly is a business model? Learn how to design and develop your business idea using the world's leading tool - the business model canvas. Instead of starting with complex business plan, the canvas will allow you to easily sketch your ideas and work to identify a profitable and repeatable model for your business. It will also help you to better communicate your idea or "pitch" it to partners, lenders, vendors or the judges of the 53 Ideas competition!
This is the first of six training sessions for the 53 Ideas pitch competition. Those advancing in the top 53 are required to participate in the trainings to prepare for the next round of the competition. This and other training sessions are open to all that wish to attend and will be valuable for those seeking to start a business.
Speaker: LaShon Harley, Lead Igniter, LAH Companies, Inc.
Funding Sponsor: Fifth Third Bank
Training Partners: Southwest Region of the Small Business Center Network with centers located at Cleveland, Central Piedmont, Gaston, Mitchell, Rowan Cabarrus, South Piedmont and Stanly Community Colleges.
