Inspired by the City of High Point’s accreditation as a Certified Autism Destination, Design Forward sheds light on designing with neurodiversity in mind, and how to create a home or business environment that accommodates different sensory sensitivities, offers varied ways to focus, work and relax, and provides inclusive and accessible features. Through individual presentations and panels, attendees will learn actionable design strategies and elements that can be implemented to create spaces that are accommodating and beneficial for everyone. Topics will include color schemes, sensory-friendly materials, flexible layouts, lighting, and more. A light breakfast will be served.
